4/24 Update. Indian River County Plans to Open Beaches Tuesday. St. Lucie Questionable, and Martin Not.
According to WPTV News Indian River County plans to open some beaches Tuesday. They include Vero Beach, Indian River Shores, Golden Sands, Wabasso, Tracking Station, and Round Island.
The beaches will be open for running, walking, surfing, swimming paddle boarding and kayaking. Blankets, beach chairs, coolers, and tents will not be permitted. II am not sure about metal detecting, but I would not force officials to make a clear decision at this point. Social distancing is required.
St. Lucie County might open beaches Tuesday, but they say it depends on how things are progressing.
Martin will not open beaches that early because of expected crowds from Palm Beach county.
