The surf predictions have change a little.  If the predictions are right, they'll begin to build Saturday, keep building Sunday up to a peek of 8 - 13 feet, stay at that level for about one day and then begin gradually decreasing Tuesday.  The predicted peak is still about the same height, it just won't be as sustained as some of the previous predictions suggested.

The wind is predicted to be from the north on Saturday and Sunday.  By Tuesday it will be from the South.  The tides will remain pretty big for a couple of days too.

There should be at least one or two days days of good hunting at some spots, with at maybe a couple more days of decent hunting.  Can't be sure of that.  Don't know how accurate the predictions will be or what beaches will be hit just right.  There is a lot of sand that needs to be moved.

Cache of 15th Century Coins Found by Construction Workers.
Source: nltimes.nl link below.

A pot containing some 500 silver and gold coins was found during excavation work near the Dutch city of Vianen. The coins date from the 15th century, RTV Utrecht reports.

The pot of coins was discovered by waterworks employees during excavation work for Hoef en Haag, a new town between Vianen and Hagestein. They immediately contacted Utrecht's archeological hotline, who closed off the area and collected the pot and coins...

Have you noticed how often discoveries are made by regular people going about their daily business?  And they properly report the finds that the archaeologists then get to study and publish without giving credit to those who actually made the find.

President Putin has unveiled Russia's new stockpile of "invincible" nuclear weapons, with a video graphic appearing to show missiles raining on Florida...

There are several nuclear bunkers at President Trump's Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago, where he has spent a number of weekends since taking office.

The cereal heiress who built Mar-a-Lago in 1927 had three of them installed during the Korean War.
There is another bomb shelter at Mr Trump's golf course a few miles away in West Palm Beach (under the second hole, according to Esquire.

Another bunker was created for President John F Kennedy not far from Mar-a-Lago.
It is located on Peanut Island, a 10-minute journey from a Palm Beach house where Kennedy often stayed.

Yet no bunker, however brilliantly assembled, will survive a direct hit, say experts.
Another military target could be US Central Command, which is headquartered at MacDill Air Base in Tampa...

Florida has 21 military bases, including the NAS in Pensacola, the command center or all Navy training and education, where I spent a lot of time doing contract work.  I think we all know to some extent how the Treasure Coast was involved with WW II activities.  I think one of the lesser known is the German prisoner of war camp located near where the glitzy Bal Harbour shops in North Dade were later located.

Various Beach Found Bullets.
Bullets like those shown above were once very common finds on the Treasure Coast.  I don't think they are found as much these days.  Of course not all of those shown above are military.  Some are.
There is also a flattened thimble in that group.  Don't know how that got in there.a
